CLARIN

CLARIN-D (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure) is a research infrastructure that makes digital language resources and tools accessible to researchers and students in the humanities and social sciences. CLARIN-D provides academics with simple and permanent access to digital language data in written, spoken and multimodal form, as well as offering sophisticated tools that allow them to discover, research, assess, annotate, analyse and combine the data sets.

At the European level, CLARIN-D is connected with CLARIN ERIC. The research infrastructure interlinks language data providers, service centres and knowledge centres from 24 countries (members and observers) that are available to all members of the participating countries via shared access. The tools and data of the various centres are interoperable, meaning that data collections can be combined and tools from different sources interconnected. The activities of CLARIN-D contribute to the portfolio of the National Researchdata infrastructructure in Germany in the consortium “Text+”.
