The Max Planck-Humboldt Research Award honours excellent researchers from abroad for their outstanding academic achievements. They are given the opportunity to set up a permanent research project at a host institution of their choice in Germany. The award is bestowed on an annually alternating basis in the fields of natural and engineering sciences, life sciences, and humanities and social sciences.
Researchers can be nominated who
Research budget of 1.5 million euros, plus personal prize money of 80,000 euros.
Nominations can be made solely by the Max Planck Society.
