Research in Germany at the LASA 2024

The International Congress of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA) takes place every year and brings together specialists in Latin American studies from all over the world. In 2024, it will take place from June 12 to 15 in Bogota, Colombia.

As part of the initiative “Research in Germany”, the DFG Office Latin America, DAAD and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will provide comprehensive information on the German research landscape and on funding opportunities for researchers of all career levels, both on the congress floor and with an informative presentation. Join us for the information session on June 13!

“Information Session on Grants, Fellowships, Exchange and Collaboration Programs for Research in and with Germany “, Thursday, June 13, 2024, from 3:50 pm to 5:20pm (Local Time)

Representatives of the German Research Foundation (DFG), the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation will provide an insight into the German research landscape, including information on funding schemes and collaboration opportunities. Moreover, one scientist from Germany, working in Political Science within the field of Latin American Studies, will give insights into her experiences in the German research scenario. Afterwards, attendees will get the chance to ask questions and seek individual advice. The event will be held in English and is free of charge.
