The doctoral scholarships by the Munich Aerospace e.V. are designed to allow junior scientists to fully focus on their research work and obtain their degrees in a timely manner. Research projects are available in the fields of Aerospace Communications and Navigation, Autonomous Flight, Aviation Management, Cyber & Public Security, Earth Observation, Green Aerospace, Safety in Orbit and Urban Air Mobility.
Who can apply?
Young scientists with
- a degree in a subject related to aerospace technology with a final grade of ‘good’ or better
- the requirements for admission to a doctorate at the TUM or UniBwM, respectively
- a relevant university degree no older than three years at the time of application

Type and extent of funding
Scholarship funding is available in an amount of EUR 1,575 per month. An additional grant of up to € 6.100 per year will be available to cover expenses that are directly related to the PhD project (e.g. textbooks, laptop, conference travels, public transport, housing subsidy).
12 months minimum, up to three years
