Campaign member KIT LINK, a transatlantic research network specialised in innovations related to the future of work, has contributed a significant part to this important German-American bridge.
'We are here to nurture a transatlantic exchange of scientific knowledge, ideas and talents between Silicon Valley and Germany', says Esther Legant, Head of KIT LINK, about the network’s mission.
Since 2018, KIT LINK has already organised 5 top-level networking events, which were well-received in the scientific community, connecting a total of 850 scientists and innovation drivers so far.
A highlight was certainly the ‘Transatlantic Sync Conference’, which took place in October 2019 in Mountainview, USA, and welcomed participants from leading universities such as Stanford, Berkeley and Harvard in the US, as well as policy makers and business leaders from Germany and the US.
Indeed, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is particularly well-positioned in this area, being the oldest technical university in Germany, with an excellent reputation in innovative research and solutions for future societal challenges based on cloud services, robotics and artificial intelligence.
