Innovative research projects: the Hector Fellow Academy offers you the opportunity to realize a self-developed research project under supervision of one of the Hector Fellows or to apply for an advertised position with one of them. The Hector Fellows are a community of outstanding professors from different research institutions across Germany working in STEM subjects, medicine and psychology. In addition, you have the possibility to do your doctorate with an Hector RCD Awardee. Hector RCD Awardees are excellent young scientists on their way to professorship and members of the Hector Fellow Academy.
This year, the following Hector Fellows are available to supervise young scientists in the Hector Fellow Academy PhD programme:
- Peter Hegemann, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Institute of Biology: Advertised PhD Project on Interaction of Rhodopsin and Cryptochrome as the Basis for Opto-Magnetic sensing in Birds (experimental biophysics, biochemistry, magnetosensing, photobiology, spectroscopy)
- Christoph Klein, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Dr. von Hauner Children’s Hospital: Application with an own research idea (pediatric hematology, immunology, oncology)
