Who can apply?
Requirements for applicants include the following:
- Prospective leaders: You completed your first academic degree during the last 12 years (Bachelor or comparable degree)
- Postdoctoral researchers: You completed your first academic degree during the last 12 years and additionally finished your doctorate no more than four years ago
- You explore questions in the natural or engineering sciences or address legal, economic, health-related or societal aspects of climate change
- You are a citizen of a non-European developing or transition country and have been predominantly living and working there
- initial experience in a leadership role and corresponding leadership skills
- very good knowledge of English and/or German
- a detailed statement and mentoring agreement from a host in Germany
- two expert references
