ERC Starting Grants: 1st place for Germany

Stats & numbers

In the latest award round of the prestigious ERC Starting Grants, Germany once again secured more research money from the 619-million-euro funding pot than any other EU country. 72 laureates will carry out their projects at institutions in Germany, and will bring an average of 1.5 million euros in funding with them each.

EnergInno Brazil: Call for Innovators

Until 28 February 2022, EnergInno Brazil is calling on researchers and entrepreneurs in Brazil to submit their innovative ideas in Green Hydrogen or Biogas. The winners will be invited to a one-week R&D Tour in Germany in November 2022. Apply now!

Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant

The Helmholtz Visiting Researcher Grant offers doctoral students and postdocs with a strong link to (applied) data and information sciences a short-term research stay at the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. The next application deadline is 15 March 2022.

ERC Consolidator and ERC Advanced Grants

Depending on the career stage, outstanding researchers can apply to the European Research Council (ERC) for a Consolidator Grant or for an Advanced Grant. Consolidator Grants close on 17 March 2022 and Advanced Grants close on 28 April 2022.

Doctoral scholarships from the Hector Fellow Academy

The Hector Fellow Academy supports innovative research projects of young scientists with a doctoral position in the fields of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, engineering or psychology. Application deadline for the doctoral positions is 31 March 2022.

DAAD Research Grants – One-Year and Short-Term Grants

Carry out a research stay and continue your education in Germany with a DAAD Research Grant for international doctoral candidates and young scientists and academics! The closing date for applications depends on your country of origin.
