The Clusters of Excellence are 57 research projects funded via Germany’s Excellence Strategy with a total of approximately 385 million Euros per year. These projects are carried out in internationally competitive fields of research at individual universities or university alliances. They involve researchers from various disciplines and institutions working in a collaborative project. The funding enables them to focus intensively on their research objectives, train young scientists and recruit highly qualified international researchers. Therefore, the Clusters of Excellence strengthen Germany’s position as an outstanding place to do research. A list of all Clusters of Excellence structured by academic field and alphabetical order is provided hereafter.
