Do you have an outstanding scientific track record and an innovative idea for a research project that is higher-risk in a positive sense? Then apply for one of the DFG’s Reinhart Koselleck Projects. Funding of 500,000 to 1.25 million euros is provided for a period of five years to support researchers in all disciplines. Applications are welcome from German and international researchers who hold or are eligible to hold professorships.
Who can apply?
Requirements for applicants include the following:
- outstanding scientific track record
- an idea for a project that is exceptionally innovative or higher-risk and that cannot be funded within the scope of other DFG programmes or within the framework of the applicant’s own institution
- applicants must hold or be eligible to hold a professorship
What form does funding take?
Funding of between 500,000 and 1.25 million euros is provided for a period of five years. Within this range, applicants may request funding in increments of 250,000 euros to cover staff, scientific instrumentation, consumables, travel and publication costs.
When is the closing date for applications?
Applications can be submitted at any time.
