Who can apply?

Requirements for applicants include the following:

  • enrolment at a state or state-recognised university in Germany or abroad
  • university teacher in Germany as supervisor
  • very good degree qualification
  • social engagement
  • very good command of German

What form does funding take?

Scholarship holders receive a basic stipend of 1,000 euros per month, plus a mobility allowance of 100 euros and a lump sum of 20 euros. Funding is provided for a maximum period of two years. Scholarship holders can apply for extensions.

When is the closing date for applications?

The next closing date for applications is 15 April 2017.
