Do you collaborate with specialist colleagues in Germany, thereby making a lasting contribution to the further internationalisation of the humanities and social sciences in Germany? Would you like to engage in future research cooperation with colleagues in Germany? Or do you know of an academic who meets all of these criteria? Arrange for yourself to be nominated for the Anneliese Maier Research Award of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation – or nominate an academic yourself!
Who can be nominated?
Requirements for nominees include the following:
- proof of internationally recognised academic achievement
- at the time of nomination, the nominee must have spent at least five years living and working abroad
- no permanent employment contract as yet in Germany
What awaits the award-winners?
For a period of up to five years, award-winners can pursue collaborative research projects of their own choice with the nominator and/or specialist colleagues in Germany. The award is endowed with 250,000 euros.
When is the next closing date for nominations?
Nominations are submitted online by academics in Germany. Academics are not permitted to nominate themselves. The next closing date for nominations is 30 April 2017.
