From 30th October to 5th November the project team of the InnoHealth Australia initiative visited Australia for a 7-day “InformationTour”. The trip led the team to Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Starting with Melbourne, first exploratory discussions in the fields of innovation, healthcare and economic development were held with representatives of the State Government of Victoria. For a better understanding of the current situation in healthcare research and innovation in Australia, the project team also met with the leading universities, hospitals, innovation centres and business stakeholders.
Following Melbourne, meetings and discussions with project-relevant stakeholders were continued in Brisbane, the second city the InnoHealth Australia project team visited during the InformationTour. One of the highlights of this trip was the personal meeting with scientist and HPV-vaccine developer Professor Ian Frazer from the University of Queensland who could be obtained as a supporter of the InnoHealth Australia initiative.
During the final participation at the APRC (Asia-Pacific Regional Conference) in Perth, contacts to both local and German stakeholder were further intensified.
