“Research in Germany” at the International Congress of Mathematicians 2018 (ICM 2018)

The ICM is the worldwide largest meeting within the mathematics community and will first time take place in Latin America, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Like the preceeding ICM in Seoul the ICM 2018 will attract round 4,000 mathematicians from all over the world and from all branches. Apart from scientific exchange in plenary lectures, discussion panels and poster sessions, also the laureates of the prestigious Fields Medal will be announced during the first day of the conference.

At this year´s ICM, members of the “Research in Germany”-Initiative, German societies within the field of mathematics and outstanding research institutions will present research and career opportunities in Germany as well as options for collaboration.
