Mobility for teaching, training and continuing education purposes is supported in 33 European countries known as the Erasmus+ programme countries, as well as in and from the Erasmus+ partner countries worldwide. Being Germany's National Agency, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) supervises the programme on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Who can apply?
Requirements for applicants include the following:
- Erasmus+ is open to students and university staff from numerous countries
- applications from abroad can be submitted at the candidate's own initiative or at the invitation of a German university
What form does funding take?
The main funding benefits are as follows:
- the grant for teachers and for further and continuing education is divided into three groups of countries and is between 140 euros and 180 euros per day, though it can vary
- duration of funding: 2 to 60 days for stays in one of the programme countries, mobility in partner countries is supported for 5 to 60 days
