Call for Applications: Young Researchers Transatlantic Academy 2012 - Energy
2/8/12 - 2/29/12
Location: Aachen, Germany
In the summer of 2012, RWTH Aachen University, Forschungszentrum Jülich and the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Science will host an interdisciplinary five-day Young Researchers Transatlantic Academy. The theme of the 2012 Academy is energy.
This challenging academic and professional development program aims to strengthen participants' global skills, improve their chances for funding and executing German-American research collaboration and foster intercultural awareness.
Applications are encouraged from Ph.D. candidates whose work relates to a broadly defined field of energy, grounded in engineering and the sciences.
Presentations and practical exercises will be complemented by work in small groups, giving students the chance to further develop their skills and interact with scientists and researchers in related fields from outstanding German and American institutions.
The conference fee for the Academy will be entirely sponsored by RWTH Aachen University, including full board for all days of the academy.
Please submit an application form (found at the linked site) and a current C.V. to info@rwthaachenuniversity.us by Wednesday, February 29, 2012.
